The Towers

La Chunky Towers comprises of an acoustically treated live room and control room. Both are spacious, comfortable and ideal for working over long periods without distraction or discomfort. The live room has been professionally analysed acoustically and has been optimised for instrument recording ­ it's perfect for drums. Mobile sound-absorbing panels can also be arranged to create a smaller space for vocal recording, or to keep singers out of the control room.

The control room has plenty of space for moving about in ­ you can swing at least two or three cats in it with room to spare. There's lots of percussion, keyboards and a guitar lying about so if inspiration strikes there's always something to bang or play with. It's basically a kindergarden for musicians with a humungous mixing desk in the middle. Unlike many smaller studios we can comfortably fit the entire band in the control room for the mix (though we'd prefer it if you all went to the pub).

As expected there's tea and coffee making facilities and usually some biscuits on the go.
